The British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, today visited the Guru Nanak Dev University and met with the teaching, research and innovation faculties, discussing possibilities of collaboration with British universities.
Prof Palwinder Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Vasudha Sambyal, Public Relations in-charge, Amit Kauts, Head, Department of Education, Prof Gagan K Gahlay, Head, Molecular Biology & Bio-Chemistry, Prof Amrinder Singh, Head, MYAS-GNDU Department of Sports Sciences, comprised the varsity delegation that met with the British High Commissioner and her team. The other members of the British delegation included Caroline Rowett, British Deputy High Commissioner; Aman Grewal, Deputy Head of Mission; David Russell, Head of Communications, British High Commission and Lakshay Sagar, Digital Content Producer, British High Commission. The British High Commissioner showed special interest in research laboratories of neurophysiology, motion analysis, human performance, sports psychology, exercise physiotherapy, in Department of Sports Sciences and Medicine. She also visited the Department of Agriculture and Education where she appreciated the ongoing research and academic work.
