About the programme

• This course is a two year programme which aims to develop professional managers with requisite skills in planning, implementation, operational management, problem solving, consultancy and entrepreneurship.
• Through this rigorous program, graduates are able to manage hospitals and healthcare institutions globally, both in the public and the private sectors, thus meeting the demand for quality healthcare management.

• Employability Opportunities: In corporate hospitals, government, charitable hospitals, insurance companies, TPAs, healthcare consulting, multilateral and bilateral organizations like the World Health Organization and other agencies, various state and central government departments, government sponsored schemes like ECHS, CGHS, ESI, Railways, national and international NGOs, corporate social responsibility or industry supported foundations, academic and research institutions, and allied health organizations, pharmaceutical companies, diagnostic laboratories and clinics, medical transcription companies.
• Entrepreneurship Opportunities: Able to go ahead with hospital or any other related start-ups by using their business management skills and hospital insights.

Eligibility

  • MBBS/BDS degree from a Medical/Dental Institute of India or other countries recognized by the respective Council/allied Health Sciences including B.Sc. Nursing, B. Pharma/ BPT.
  • Bachelor of Science in Genetics/Human Biology/Biotechnology/Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Architecture (associated with hospitals for two years), Master of Science in Life Science with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Management from Guru Nanak Dev University will be eligible for lateral entry to the second year of the course with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
  • Any other examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.

Mode of Admission

  • Admission will be based on merit of the candidate in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Department.
